Dalaran Spotlight: Wrath vs Legion Comparison, Aeris and Cloud, New Pets and More
08.12.2015 um 09:10
Dalaran in Legion is getting a number of updates, and
has made a video comparing both versions side-by-side so you can see exactly how the city has changed. There are not too many drastic changes, but the city has received high-resolution updates and many more decorations in all the buildings.
Last week we
took a bunch of screenshots of new Dalaran
; below are some highlights from the new city we really liked.
Aeris and Cloud
has always been the flower vendor in Dalaran. However in Legion,
is accompanied by
and also sells
The pet shop in Dalaran has some new additions.
and the Garrison menagerie NPCs have moved to Dalaran. They also sell additional items:
. Finally, several cheap pet supplies are now toys:
Outside the Menagerie, you'll find the
Haustierraufbold von Draenor
monument and inside you'll find a few more cute additions from recent expansions, like an Elekk Plushie on the counter.
is an "elusive" pet from Pet Battles in Dalaran.
The Underbelly has always been a shady place and in Legion you can bribe the guards by talking to
For you can hire a personal bodyguard, which will protect you from other players for 5 minutes. For 20
, you can have Raethan call off his guards, but if you don't have the currency, he's quite annoyed.
Khadgar and his "council" may rule the roost above, but down here? My men and I run the show.
I don't want to see any funny business while you're in my sewer. That is, of course, unless you could convince me to look the other way...
The profession area of Dalaran in Wrath had distinctive buildings for each profession. In Legion, a lavish building has been added for Archaeology, as that profession didn't exist when the first Dalaran was built.
The series of Dalaran NPCs that wandered around the city has received updates in Legion. They now wear current gear from Warlords of Draenor--looks like they've been busy and haven't been sitting around Dalaran.
Turn Lights On and Off
You can now click on the lamps around Dalaran to turn them on and off. This includes the large ones lining the streets and smaller torches decorating some buildings. If the lamps are off, turning them on will make them flicker and light up for a few seconds.
Aegwynn's Tower is built in the center of Dalaran. While the building is unfinished, it contains useful portals to Caverns of Time, Shattrath, Wyrmrest Temple, Dalaran Crater, and Karazhan. In addition, the regular capital city portals have returned to your faction hub in Dalaran.
Der Große Akazamzarak
is a goblin magician that has set up shop on top of the Algalon memorial.
Okay, for this trick I'll need a volunteer.
Pick a card, any card...
Citizen: Wow! A golden Dr Boom!
Hey! Not that card! Give it back!
Gather 'round, and witness mystical wonders like you've never seen!
Ladies and gentlemen, feast your eyes on these feats of prestidigitation!
Gaze in astonishment as I produce a rabbit from this ordinary hat!
Thank you, thank you. Your tips are appreciated.
Let's keep the show going! The Great Akazamazarak appreciates your coin!
For my next trick - as you can see there's nothing up my sleeve...
New Food and Drink
Dalaran has always been known for quirky flavor items sold by NPCs--they don't do anything meaningful, but they add to the atmosphere of the zone. In Legion, vendors are selling updated delicacies and drinks.
