Conduit Ranks Are Tied to Item Level on the Shadowlands Beta
28.09.2020 um 16:44
A script has been found by
, which has allowed players to determine how Conduit Ranks are tied to Item Level on the Shadowlands Beta.
for finding the Item Level and Rank correlations due to the script.
This is now out of date, please see the Chart below or click here to see an up to date Conduit Item Level Chart.
Conduit Rank Macro
From datamining, we know that
in Shadowlands has 15 ranks attached to it. However, we really don't know much about how these 15 Ranks will work in or are acquired Shadowlands. Are the 15 ranks used only for Season 1, or are the 15 Ranks going to be used throughout Shadowlands?
found the script below. When used, this will create a Conduit tooltip of the specified rank on the Shadowlands Beta, but also show the Item Level of the Conduit!
/run print(C_Soulbinds.GetConduitHyperlink(conduitID, conduitRank))
For example, using the Conduit
(Conduit ID is 195) at Rank 1, you would use the macro:
/run print(C_Soulbinds.GetConduitHyperlink(195, 1))
This is equal to the tooltip that is currently available from the vendors on the Shadowlands Beta. Below are the pictures of Ranks 2 through 6.
Conduit Ranks to Item Level Chart
Using this macro for all Ranks, gives you the following Item Level to Rank Chart. Remember that this is Beta and since Blizzard still hasn't mentioned anything on this system, it may still be in flux.
Other than the initial jump, each of the Conduits takes a 15 item level jump until Rank 5 at which point, the item level jumps to 300. This could mean that these Ranks 6 through 15 will be unable to be acquired at the start of Shadowlands and be reserved for future seasons, but it's hard to know without clarification and these item levels could be unfinished or old.
Sources of Higher Conduit Ranks Speculation
We don't know if Conduit's Item Levels are directly linked to the same Item Level of the loot. However, if they do, we can find out what each of these Item Levels is similar to and
where each Rank will come from:
(iLvl 155) - Close to
Normal Level 60 Dungeon Gear
(iLvl 165) - Close to
Heroic Dungeon Gear
(iLvL 180) - Close to
Mythic Dungeon Gear
(iLvL 195) - Close to
Normal Castle Nathria
(iLvl 200) and
Mythic+ End-of-Dungeon Level 4 - 5
(iLvL 210) - Close to
Heroic Castle Nathria
(iLvL 213) and
Mythic+ End-of-Dungeon Level 15
The progression path for Conduits seems to progress pretty steadily through the normal content path. There appears to be no current Conduit Item Level for Mythic Castle Nathria, and it makes sense as the only way for Mythic+ and PvP players to get that Item Level from would be from the Great Vault. It would be a little weird to feel forced to choose a piece from a specific side of content to get a Conduit from there.
Once again, we have no idea how Conduit's Item Levels are correlated to regular Gear Item levels, and that's something that we'll probably find out in the next few weeks because Shadowlands is fast approaching!
What Do We Know About Conduit Ranks?
Blizzard has never really mentioned Conduit ranks, but they alluded to it in the
Persistent Collections Conduit Blue Post
Conduits will continue to be items that can be earned from a wide variety of endgame content (dungeons, PvP, raids, reputations, world quests, etc.)
The power of their effects will increase with the Item Level of the Conduit.
Instead of placing a Conduit directly into a given Soulbind tree, you’ll bring it back to your Sanctum where you can add it to a permanent collection.
There will be more than one source for most Conduits, to increase flexibility in acquisition and accessibility across different playstyles.
Earning a more powerful version of a Conduit you already have will simply upgrade that Conduit in your collection.
The important things to note from this are that:
Item Level is in fact tied to Conduit's Power (aka Ranks)
This is what is indicated by the scripts above on the Shadowlands Beta.
Earning a more powerful of Conduit will directly upgrade that Conduit in the collection.
This would make it so that if you get an upgrade to a Conduit that is already slotted, you don't need to blow your Weekly Cooldown in order to swap in the new Conduit Rank.
One thing to note is that if there are Conduits that drop from World Quests or Reputations, it's unclear will you upgrade their item level.
In addition to that,
is now selling
Fragment der ungebundenen Realität
, an item that allows you to upgrade your lowest-Rank conduit. If you're not interested in doing a certain piece of content, like a Heroic Raid, you'll still be able to unlock and upgrade that conduit by grinding the Maw, albeit likely a little slower.
